Metal Tube Float Flow MeterThe (Metal Tube Rotameter) is a commonly used variable area flow measurement instrument in industrial automation process control. It features a compact size, wide measurement range, and ease of use. It is suitable for measuring the flow of liquids, gases, and steam, particularly for low flow rates and low volumes. Over the years, the metal tube float rotameter has gained widespread application in industries such as petrochemicals, steel, power, metallurgy, light industry, food, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment, thanks to its excellent performance, reliability, and favorable performance-to-price ratio.
Flow Meter Type:
TF SeriesMetal Tube FloatThe flow meter consists of a measuring tube (sensor) and an indicator (electronic converter). By selecting different types of measuring tubes and indicators, various complete units can be assembled to meet on-site requirements.
The TF series metal tube float flowmeters are divided into 5 types based on the direction of the fluid inlet and outlet: vertical type, horizontal type (including horizontal T-type and horizontal spring type), bottom inlet side outlet type, side inlet side outlet type, and side inlet top outlet type. Each type also features standard models, high-temperature models, jacketed models, and so on.
Horizontal Installation TypeFlow meterFor sizes less than or equal to DN50, choose the T-type structure; for sizes greater than DN50, opt for the spring structure.
Flowmeter Connection Specifications: The standard TF series metal tube float flowmeter uses the GB/T9119-2000 flange standard. The flange standard can be customized according to customer requirements; threaded and clamp connection methods are also available.
Indicator Selection:
Users can choose on-site display, battery-powered, wired remote, intrinsically safe, explosion-proof, or HART-protocol-enabled models according to their actual site needs. Detailed function descriptions of various indicators are listed below.

M1 model
Local pointer indicates flow rate; no power required, no 4~20mA remote transmission; optional flow alarm device; scale can be set for instantaneous flow rate or percentage scale value.
M3 model
Local digital display, battery-powered, without 4-20mA remote transmission, non-explosion-proof. LCD shows instantaneous and accumulated flow rates; on-site buttons are used to view and modify related parameters. The battery is usable for 6 months, and should be replaced when the T character appears on the display (Battery Model: ER26500, 3.6V, 7.5Ah, -55℃~85℃).
M4 model
Electrical remote transmission, inherently safe design, explosion-proof marking ExdⅡCT6, optional HART protocol function. Powered by DC24V, featuring on-site pointer indicating instantaneous flow and digital display of both instantaneous and accumulated flow. Two-wire system with 4-20mA output. The panel is equipped with 4 buttons for viewing and modifying internal parameters. Detailed usage on page 18.
M5 model
Electrical remote transmission, explosion-proof design with ExdⅡCT6 marking, optional HART protocol functionality. Powered by DC24V, featuring a local pointer indicating instantaneous flow rate and a digital display for both instantaneous and cumulative flow rates. Two-wire system with 4-20mA output. The panel is equipped with 4 buttons for viewing and modifying internal parameters.
