Decorative paving for subgrade concrete construction requirements:

The strength of the base concrete should be ≥C20, with as small a water-cement ratio as possible and no early-strength agent in the mix.

2. Optimal for concrete, medium-sized aggregate particle size should be ≤30mm, and the thickness of the base concrete must be ≥50mm.

3. The slump of concrete should be maintained between 3-4 cm, while the slump of commercial concrete should be controlled at 12-14 cm.

4. Crushed stone and raw land bases must be compacted or tamped by a roller press.

5.10 cm and below concrete vibration is performed using a flat plate vibrator. Above 10 cm, use an insert vibrator for concrete vibration.

6. Utilize heavier steel long rollers (the steel roller should be wider than the mold by over 0.3 meters) to repeatedly roll and flatten the ground platform, achieving a level surface. When rolling the ground platform, ensure all foreign objects on the steel roller are removed. Extract the concrete slurry to ensure no sand or stone remains on the surface. For areas where steel roller usage is not feasible, use a template to scrape the ground platform level.

7. After the concrete floor is levelled, water bleeding treatment should be conducted.

8. The concrete gradation at the base should be C25 or C20, with the upper layer consisting of fine-grained concrete with mortar, grade C30 or C25, with a total thickness of 10-30cm.
