Liquefied gas storage tanks are pressure vessels, and national regulations require annual inspections (with a recommended service life of 10 years for simple pressure vessels). Since inspections are conducted, there are products that pass or fail. Generally, if a company's liquefied gas storage tank fails an inspection due to improper use or inadequate maintenance, it must be decommissioned. As these tanks are special equipment, decommissioning requires a specific process. Compressor liquefied gas storage tanks are often considered safe special equipment, but if any stage of manufacturing, design, installation, or usage management is not standardized, accumulated hazards could lead to explosions or even more severe consequences. Therefore, we must adhere to the operating procedures for our compressor liquefied gas storage tanks, avoid shortcuts, and never purchase inexpensive tanks from unqualified manufacturers. Tanks containing 1 cubic meter of 10 kg or less are considered simple pressure vessels and do not require inspection; national regulations stipulate a 7-year exemption from inspection starting from the date of manufacture on the label, but this only applies to the tank itself.
Attachment: Safety valves and pressure gauges are mandatory for strict inspection. It is essential to report for inspection at the local quality supervision bureau. This ensures better user experience. If the pressure gauge fails, your terminal gas consumption will be unknown, and you cannot use it with peace of mind, fearing issues with the liquefied gas storage tank. Both the air compressor and the storage tank itself have safety valves. When pressure exceeds the safe setting range of the safety valve, it will automatically release pressure. The pressure gauge plays a significant role as well. Therefore, daily accessories of special equipment must be used with caution. In case of any issues, first confirm if the steel plate thickness of the storage tank meets standards, and if not, identify the cause of the steel plate corrosion. Also, reconfirm if the safety valve, pressure gauge, and other auxiliary equipment meet the requirements. If all are found to be non-compliant, the local technical supervision bureau of the enterprise will issue a notice of non-compliance. Upon receiving the notice, the enterprise will replace the new pressure vessel.
