Gas Standard Material
The standard gas used should be a substance of the same type as the gas being measured by the instrument, such as methane, ethane, or other gases. If the instrument does not specify the type of gas being measured, the concentration of the gas at the alarm set point is approximately 60% of the full scale. The expanded uncertainty of the standard gas is not significant (%). The reproducibility of the standard gas standard substance should be greater than ±1%. The flow indication error of the repeatability dilution device should not exceed a concentration of the gas standard substance. When using the concentration unit of the dilution device for standard gas standard substances, it should be converted to match the unit of the instrument being tested, and should not exceed 0.%.
The calibration cycle for flammable gas detectors is typically once a year.
In accordance with the standard JJG 693-2011 "Flammable Gas Detectors," the calibration period for flammable gas alarms generally does not exceed one year. This means that under normal circumstances, a comprehensive calibration and testing of the flammable gas alarm should be conducted annually to ensure its performance meets the relevant requirements.
Gas Detector Alarm Calibration Standard Requirements
Regulation 5.5 of the "Regulation for Calibration of Combustible Gas Detectors" (JJG693-2011) stipulates: The calibration cycle for combustible gas detection and alarm instruments: generally, the calibration cycle of the instrument should not exceed one year. If there is any doubt about the measurement data of the instrument, or if the instrument has been replaced with major components or repaired, it should be sent for calibration promptly.
Section 3.5 of the "Regulations for the Use of Flammable Gas Detection and Alarm Systems" (SY6503-2000) stipulates: Flammable gas detection and alarm systems in use shall be calibrated regularly as per regulations.
Occupational Health and Safety Code for Toxic Gas Facilities (GBZ/T223-2009) Article 7.2.1 stipulates: Calibration of detection and alarm devices should be conducted regularly according to the manufacturer's specified time and procedures.
Regulation 3.4 of "Code for the Use of Flammable Gas Detectors and Alarms" (SY6503-2000) stipulates: The flammable gas detectors and alarms installed and used should have measuring instruments manufactured by an authorized institution, and explosion-proof performance.
