
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks are composed of the tank body, instruments, pipelines, valves, etc. These tanks feature two liquid inlet methods: top and bottom, which can be chosen and used according to actual conditions.
The inner tank of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tank is equipped with a safety system consisting of dual safety valves. Under normal operating conditions, one set is in operation and the other in standby. If the safety valve in operation trips, the manual pressure relief valve is immediately opened to release pressure below the storage tank's operating pressure. Simultaneously, the safety system is swiftly switched to the standby system via the manual handle, thereby effectively ensuring the tank's safety. This safety system consists of safety valves, explosion-proof devices, vent valves, and three-way ball valves, which not only reduces pipeline welding but also features excellent fire and static electricity prevention structures. Additionally, the safety relief ports on the outer shell are fully guaranteed to ensure the overall safety and reliability of the equipment. The low-temperature pipelines are centrally extracted for ease of operation and control, and the extraction outlets are designed with Duralumin piping to meet low-temperature requirements and reduce stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction in the pipelines, ensuring the safety of the storage tank. The vacuum extraction valve employs a triple-sealed design.OThe shape ring seal effectively ensures the reliability of the sandwich seal, and is made of full stainless steel, with a compact size. The top design of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank features a suspended structure for easy transportation, lifting, and installation. The unique manhole design ensures the cleanliness of the interior when the container is sealed. Vacuum isolation valves and combined vacuum gauges are used on the LNG storage tank for easy measurement of the vacuum degree in the sandwich and maintenance, extending the tank's service life and improving its quality. The LNG storage tank is equipped with a level gauge and a pressure gauge for local display of the liquid level and pressure. Low-temperature storage tank structure:
A low-temperature storage tank is a compact storage device for low-temperature liquids, fully equipped with accessories (valves, safety systems, etc.). The tank consists of a carbon steel vacuum shell and a pressure vessel inside it. It can operate under low to medium pressure as per actual design requirements. Blasting discs and double safety valves provide protection for the tank in case of excess pressure. The safety relief device is designed to protect the internal pressure vessel and vacuum shell, with its usage and models being in accordance with GB150 and the "Fixed Container Regulations." This includes a double safety relief valve and a blast disc assembly for the internal pressure vessel protection, as well as a blast cover for the vacuum shell (shell). The tank is designed and manufactured for safety, reliable operation, and durability (can operate without fault for years), and strict adherence to proper safety and operational regulations is required during tank operation.
High safety requirements. As the tank stores low-temperature liquids, in the event of an accident, the refrigerated liquid would volatilize in large quantities, with the vaporization amount being approximately 300 times that of the refrigerated state, forming explosive gas clouds in the atmosphere. Therefore, specifications such as API, BS, etc., all require the use of double-walled tank structures and the application of sealing concepts. In the event of a leak in the first layer of the tank, the second layer can completely seal the leaked liquid and evaporated gas, ensuring storage safety.
