Sand and Gravel Filter, Water and Fertilizer Irrigation, Header Filter
◆Product Introduction◆

The Sandstone Filter, also known as the Quartz Sand Filter or Sand Filter, is a filter that employs a bed of homogenized, uniform-sized quartz sand for three-dimensional deep-level filtration. It is commonly used for primary filtration. It primarily uses sandstone as the filtering medium. The Sandstone Filter is a type of medium filter, with its sand bed providing three-dimensional filtration and a strong ability to capture pollutants, making it suitable for deep well water filtration, agricultural water treatment, and as a preliminary pre-treatment for various water treatment processes.

◆Feature Parameters◆

Among all filters, sand and gravel filters are effective for treating organic and inorganic impurities in water. These filters have strong abilities to filter and retain impurities, and can provide uninterrupted water supply. Sand and gravel filters should be chosen whenever the organic content in water exceeds 10mg/L, regardless of the inorganic content.

◆Working Principle◆

During normal operation, the water to be filtered reaches the media layer through the inlet, at which point most pollutants are trapped on the surface of the media. Fine debris and other floating organic matter are retained within the media layer to ensure the production system remains free from interference by pollutants and operates effectively. Once operational, when the water contains a certain amount of impurities and suspended particles, the filtration system can detect the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet in real-time via the pressure differential control device. When the differential pressure reaches a set value, the electric control PLC sends a signal to the three-way hydraulic control valve in the control system. The three-way hydraulic control valve then automatically controls the three-way valve of the corresponding filtration unit through the waterway, closing the inlet channel and opening the drain channel. As the drain channel has lower pressure, water from other filtration units is forced through the outlet of the filtered unit, continuously flushing the media layer of the filtered unit to achieve the cleaning effect. The wastewater is then directed to the drain pipeline through the drain outlet of the filtered unit, completing the draining process. The sand filter can also be controlled for draining through a timed control method. When the timer reaches the set time, the electric control box sends a drain cleaning signal to the three-way hydraulic control valve, and the specific draining process is as described above.
