Aerated mixers are used in industries such as environmental protection, chemical, energy, and light industry where liquid mixing with solid-liquid or gas is required. They are particularly suitable for processes like coagulation ponds, regulation ponds, anaerobic ponds, and nitrification and denitrification ponds in wastewater treatment.

The selection of an air-driven agitator is related to parameters such as the pool shape, volume, liquid concentration, medium density, temperature, and pH. The main basis is to determine the effective service area of each unit, and according to the principle that the length-to-width ratio of the pool should not exceed twice, the rectangular pool can be divided into several equal working units, thereby determining the number of agitators.

Abnormal Diagnosis and Treatment of Pneumatic Mixers
Section 1: Inspection of Mechanical Sealing Assemblies
The dual-curved mixer often experiences failures in the mechanical sealing section, commonly due to wear that leads to the failure of the mechanical seal and water leakage into the sealing chamber. First, the mechanical seal assembly was disassembled, and the components including two sets of mechanical seals, cage-type oil seals, output shaft, bearings, housing, and end caps were cleaned and inspected. Additionally, the dimensions of the mechanical stirrer bearing housing and output shaft were checked. If no issues were found, it indicates that the mechanical sealing section is intact and no failure has occurred.
Section 2: Gearbox Analysis and Inspection
Some mixer equipment gearboxes have high precision machining, excellent heat treatment. The gearbox is cleaned, and each gear, gear shaft, and bearing is carefully inspected. The surface of the teeth is smooth, with no pitting or chipping, and the meshing side clearance of the gears is normal, with no wear on the tooth profiles; the radial and axial clearances of all bearings are normal, and there are no pitting points on the inner and outer rings or rollers, indicating good overall quality; the axial clearances of all shafts are reasonable, the handwheel output shaft operates smoothly without binding, and there are no abnormal sounds. This indicates that the gearbox is free of faults.
3. Inspection, Analysis, and Handling of Electric Motor Failures
Pneumatic agitator motor failure symptoms: Before disassembling the motor, perform an empty run to identify the issue. If the motor of the mechanical agitator emits abnormal sounds and has significant vibration; the sleeve at the motor shaft of the mechanical agitator produces a hissing sound; the shaft extension temperature reaches several dozen degrees within less than 2 minutes of empty running, feeling very hot. The bearing inner race inside the mechanical agitator has pitted areas resembling pear skin due to pitting, with a rough surface and lack of luster, where pitting holes can be seen; the inner race of the skeleton oil seal is damaged; there are dark spots where the bearing inner race and sleeve of the mechanical agitator form "run circles" with the corresponding shaft neck.
Due to pitting on the inner race of the bearing forming pear-shaped pitting areas, there is a phenomenon of jamming and noise when the bearing roller passes through. This could be the fundamental cause of the abnormal noise inside the motor. Replacing the bearing in the blender can resolve this issue.
