Technical Points
1. The base material for spray seeding is a crucial factor for successful application. Peat soil is an excellent material for spray seeding, which can be mixed with wood fibers (or pulp) in a specific ratio for use. This mixture offers superior adhesion and water retention compared to using pure wood fibers alone. It is suitable for spray seeding on slopes with thin soil layers, extremely barren, or even weathered rock, with an average spray thickness of about 10 cm.
2. Water Retention Agent and Adhesive Usage. The amount of water retention agent can be adjusted according to the varying climatic conditions and characteristics of stone quarries in different regions; the adhesive amount is determined by the slope of the stone wall, and it is directly proportional to the degree of the slope.
3. Webbing. First, securely fasten anchor pins at specific intervals to the rock wall, then hang the webbing. The webbing is typically made of galvanized wire mesh (also known as woven wire mesh, grating mesh, or machine-woven mesh).
4. Seed Selection: The grass seeds to be sown should be perennial varieties with robust root systems, quick to establish into a lawn, drought-resistant, and tolerant of poor soil conditions; if the local winters are cold, the frost resistance of the variety should also be considered.
5. Mixed Sowing. Utilize the complementary characteristics of grass seeds, such as deep-rooted and shallow-rooted, leguminous and graminaceous, exotic and local, early and late development, etc., for mixed broadcasting.
