Porous pavement is highly practical, benefiting the positive development of human living environments; it also plays a significant role in rainwater management and utilization, as well as in water pollution control. It is a "Key Promoted Project of Scientific and Technological Achievements in National Construction," widely used in pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, light rail tracks, public squares, outdoor parking lots, and park pathways, scenic roads, and other locations.

Porous concrete pavement materials are eco-friendly, high-permeability materials used in sponge city construction. They serve as a new paving method that can partially replace urban paved surfaces, effectively improving the urban ecosystem. These materials help restore vitality to the city's surface, allow rainwater to infiltrate the ground, and effectively eliminate surface water accumulation. They are a "breathing" green environmental protection ground material.

a. Subgrade Preparation: Clean the subgrade surface ensuring it is free of dust, twigs, paper屑, and other debris, and moisten the subgrade surface prior to laying.

b. Fabric: Consider the compacted reserved height when laying permeable paving. When using manual fabric for permeable paving, use a shovel to flip it over, and strictly prohibit throwing. If the laying time of permeable paving exceeds 30 minutes or there is strong wind, cover the concrete on site with plastic sheeting to prevent rapid evaporation of water in the permeable paving.

c. Vibration Compaction: After the plain color permeable floor fabric is completed, use a trowel to level it, then use a flat plate vibrator for vibration compaction. Once vibration compaction is done, lay the colored permeable floor or colored aggregate permeable concrete on top. Level it, replenish any shortages promptly, and use specialized permeable floor equipment to compact and level the surface until it is flush with the formwork.

d. Surface Finishing: Promptly finish the edges of the compacted surface with permeable concrete. For areas lacking materials, fill and level; for drier sections, first spray a uniform layer of water, then add materials for finishing.

e. After the permeable concrete reveals aggregate and the surface is smooth and compact to the required standard, spray and brush the surface evenly with a cleaning agent, then cover it with plastic film. Six to eight hours after spraying (depending on the weather), use a high-pressure water jet to rinse the surface. During rinsing, ensure the cleaning agent is thoroughly cleaned, but avoid any phenomena such as peeling off.

f. Maintenance: After the surface of the permeable pavement is finished, it should be watered lightly and covered with plastic film for maintenance. The maintenance period is the same as that of normal concrete. During the maintenance period, barriers should be set around the road surface, and it is strictly prohibited to have people or vehicles on it.
