Solid ball measurement light curtains are designed in a segmented style, typically in three or four sections, with slight variations to cater to different age groups' needs. Once the athlete assumes the correct position and throws the shot, the instant it lands, the measurement light curtain scans a set of data, which then sends a signal to the system. The system records which channels are illuminated and which are obstructed, accurately calculating the data based on its programming. The solid ball measurement grating utilizes a specially modulated 940nm infrared light with a parallel scanning method, one emission and one reception. Passing through custom optical lenses, it avoids interference from external light sources, further enhancing the accuracy of the test results. The integrated design directly displays the measurement results on the screen, eliminating the need for manual data detection.
Solid ball measurement light curtains typically require detection errors ≤ 10CM. Of course, the higher the precision, the more accurate the detection results. Since the detection area for throwing solid balls is generally large, commonly ranging from 6-9 meters, at present, Pintuo mainly offers three-segment and four-segment solid ball measurement light curtains, primarily focusing on 7.5-meter and 10-meter detection zones. Due to the overall length of the light curtain and the complex manufacturing process, the cost of solid ball measurement light curtains is relatively high, and the production difficulty is significant. There are not many manufacturers capable of producing and applying them maturely and stably.
