The basic types of audiometric rooms include: Electro-audiometric rooms - Pure Tone Audiometric Rooms, Sound Field Audiometric Rooms, and Behavioral Audiometric Rooms, etc.The audiometric room is essentially a medical audiometric room, simply put, it is primarily designed to provide a relatively quiet environment for audiologists to conduct hearing tests. Typically, the background noise within the audiometric room should not exceed 30dB(A), with slightly different requirements depending on the testing method. For example, when conducting acoustic field tests, the background noise requirement for the audiometric room is higher. During electrical audiometry, it is necessary to place the patient in a quiet environment to measure thresholds at different frequencies, etc. Therefore, based on the different testing methods, audiometric rooms used in the medical field for clinical purposes are respectively termed as pure tone audiometric rooms, acoustic field audiometric rooms, and behavioral audiometric rooms, etc.
Other audiometric rooms typically include those used for physical examinations, as they are primarily for occupational health system physicals and are thus called physical examination audiometric rooms. There are also some that are installed on mobile examination vehicles, known as mobile audiometric rooms, etc. Despite different names, they are essentially the same. The main concern is whether the soundproofing of the audiometric room meets the requirements for hearing tests.
Mobile hearing rooms for on-site hearing tests during physical examinations, providing convenient and quick services with medical staff conducting hearing screenings.
