The adhesion and thickness of the stretch film are related; generally speaking, the thicker the film, the lower the adhesion. The adhesion of the stretch film is an inherent characteristic, formed during production by adding plasticizers and the like. Over-thick stretch film has different requirements in the production process, and the production formula will change, which will reduce the film's self-adhesive properties. For example, overly thick films produced with the addition of plasticizers like DOV will see a decrease in self-adhesion and overall quality due to changes in the production processing formula.

Additionally, from a practical usage perspective, thicker wrapping films are relatively harder to stretch, especially for hand-wound films. This can lead to insufficient tightness between the films during the wrapping process, affecting the adhesive's performance and reducing the stability of the packaging. At the same time, thicker films cool down more slowly during production, which may impact the migration and distribution of the adhesive enhancer, thereby adversely affecting the adhesiveness.
