I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that we have improved and refined based on our mature existing products. They feature compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable, reliable performance. With a good protection level, they can meet the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall on/off, and overall regulating types.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. It is suitable for gate valves, stop valves, throttle valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and air gates, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators for Valves) and the explosion-proof type performance complies with GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: Explosion-proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel; ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disconnected (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disconnect) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switching direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the open direction torque is greater than the close direction torque.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no-load and without medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly closed. If it cannot be closed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly closed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the screwdriver to the "OFF" position on the adjustment shaft, and turn it according to the arrow direction until the cam presses down on the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the initial "OFF" stroke is properly adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few turns, then close it. Check if the closing travel meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Adjustment of Opening Direction: After the closing direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam engages the spring plate and the micro-switch activates. Once the stroke mechanism engages with the driving gear, the opening stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, the operation can be repeated several times. Generally, the opening of the valve is controlled at around 90%.
3. Adjustable Opening Indicator Adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
