Shenzhen ZhongNuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in the calibration, verification, and measurement services for gas alarms, combustible gas detectors, toxic and harmful gas detectors, and other equipment at various locations. We hold the necessary qualifications to serve nationwide, addressing clients' electrical safety and explosion-proof fire prevention issues, and contributing to safe production.
What are the contents included in the calibration report for flammable gas detectors?
The verification results should be reflected on the verification certificate or report, and the verification proof or report must include the following information.
① Calibration Certificate or Calibration Report
② Laboratory Name and Address;
③ Calibration Location (if not calibrated in the laboratory)
④ Standing proof or report (e.g., numbered), with indication of each page and page number;
Please provide the company name and address for shipment.
⑥ Clearly describe and specify the school target audience.
Calibration date and receipt date;
⑧ Technical specifications for calibration foundation, including name and code;
Description of traceability and effectiveness of the measurement standards used for calibration.
⑩ Description of Calibration Environment
11. Calibration Results and Measurement Uncertainty Statement
12. Signature, title, or equivalent emblem of the issuer of the calibration certificate or report, and the issuance date;
13. Calibration results are only applicable to the calibration object.
14. No part of the certificate or report may be copied without the written consent of the laboratory.
Two-proofing interval
Instrument recalibration is typically every 1 year, determined by the sending unit based on actual usage. During the secondary calibration process, if there are doubts about the instrument's test data, or if the main components of the instrument are replaced, as well as after repairs, a recalibration is required.
GB 12358-2024 "General Technical Requirements for Environmental Gas Detection and Alarm Instruments in Workplace" is an important standard.
Intended to standardize the performance, functions, and testing methods of environmental gas detection and alarm instruments used in workplace operations.
The standard was issued in 1990 and has undergone several revisions.
The new version is GB 12358—2024, which will be officially implemented on June 1, 2025.
This standard applies to the production and use of gas detection and alarm instruments for flammable gases, toxic and harmful gases, and oxygen in workplace environments.
Gas Standard Material
We use gas standard substances of the same type as the gas measured by the instrument, such as methane or ethane, or gas standards can be expanded with isopropanol, etc. If the instrument does not specify the type of gas being measured, the concentration of the gas at the set point, such as methane, ethane, or警设定点, is approximately 60% of the full scale. The uncertainty of the expanded gas standard substance is not more than % (k-body standard substance greater than ±1%). The flow indication error of the repetitive dilution device should not be higher than the concentration of the gas standard substance. The concentration unit of the dilution device for the gas standard substance should be converted to match the unit of the inspected instrument, and should not exceed 0.%.
Verification Method
Appearance and structure
Inspect visually and by feel according to the requirements of Section 4.1.
Logos and branding
Inspect as per 4.2 requirements.
Power-on inspection
Inspect visually and by touch in accordance with 4.3 requirements to check the 5.3.4 alarm function and alarm action values.
Introduce a standard gas substance with a concentration exceeding the alarm set point, causing the instrument to trigger an alarm. Observe whether the instrument's audible and visual alarms function properly and record the readings when the alarm is triggered. Repeat the measurement three times, and the arithmetic mean of the three readings is the instrument's alarm trigger value.
