What is the application process for an IECEx certificate? -- Shenzhen ZhongNuo Inspection & Testing Technology Co., Ltd.
Members of the ECEx system who are recognized and authorized by the IECEx system as certification bodies are referred to as IECEx Recognized Application Bodies (ExCB). Only ExCBs are permitted to conduct certification for explosion-proof products within the IECEx system.
ExCB's main certification tasks include:
1. Accept IECEx certification applications.
2. Organize Explosion Proof Testing Laboratory (ExTL) to conduct Explosion Proof Type Testing on the products applying for certification (including explosion-proof review of technical drawings and documents and prototype testing).
3. Review Explosion-Proof Report (ExTR)
4. Conduct factory quality condition inspections for manufacturers applying for certification, compile and review the Factory Quality Condition Report (QAR).
5. Make the decision on certification.
6. Contact the IECEx Secretariat for the issuance of IECEx certification certificates.
7. Conduct annual supervision for manufacturers already holding an IECEx certification.
Domestic explosion-proof certifications cannot be directly converted to international IECEx certifications. This is because the Chinese explosion-proof certification standard GB/T3836 is essentially a direct citation of the gup ji IECEx explosion-proof certification standard (IEC60079). Therefore, having a NEPSI certification does not allow for a direct conversion to IECEx certification.
