Coal-burning releases high-temperature flue gas, which is then transported through flues to a waste heat boiler. The gas flows through a superheater, evaporator, and economizer before being released into the atmosphere through a chimney at temperatures typically ranging from 150 to 180°C. The heat released as the flue gas cools from high temperatures is used to convert water into steam. The boiler feed water first enters the economizer, where it absorbs heat and warms up to slightly below the pressure of the steam drum, then enters the drum. The water entering the drum mixes with the saturated water inside, flows down through the lower tubes into the evaporator to absorb heat and start producing steam. Usually, only a portion of the water is converted to steam, which leaves the evaporator and enters the upper drum through a steam-water separator. The water falls into the drum's water space and continues to absorb heat and produce steam, while the steam rises to the top of the drum and enters the superheater, absorbing heat to convert the saturated steam into superheated steam. Corresponding to the three stages of the steam production process are three heating surfaces: the economizer, evaporator, and superheater. If superheated steam is not required and only saturated steam is needed, the superheater can be omitted. If there is reheat steam, a reheater can be added.
The waste heat boiler is composed of a drum, a movable smoke hood, a furnace mouth section smoke channel, inclined section 1 smoke channel, inclined section 2 smoke channel, final section 1 smoke channel, final section 2 smoke channel, a feeding tube (down feed trough)槽, an oxygen port, a nitrogen sealing device and plug, a manhole, a differential pressure tapping device, and supports and hangers for the smoke channels. The waste heat boiler is divided into six circulation loops, each consisting of a downcomer and an upcomer. Water from each section of the smoke channel is introduced into the lower collector box of each smoke channel through the drum via the downcomer, then enters the heating surfaces. After passing through the heating surfaces, the water produces steam, which enters the inlet collector and is then introduced into the drum via the upcomer. The smoke channels are all connected with flanges.
Sloped duct sections, second-sloped duct sections, last section duct, and second-last section duct are each composed of distribution headers, lower headers, duct groups, and upper headers.
