In the later use of Shandong shrimp red manufacturers, regular maintenance is a crucial operation step. Although it is relatively stable in nature, as granite stone, it can still undergo changes or damage due to some uncontrollable factors, so proper maintenance measures are of great importance.
I. Causes of Lesions in Shandong Shrimp Red.
1. Due to improper construction methods or failure to use stone protective products, Shandong Xia Hong stone has developed issues such as water stains and efflorescence.
2. Long-term exposure to environmental and atmospheric pollution can cause certain natural minerals in the stone to undergo chemical changes, leading to rusting, fading, and loss of luster. Various technical treatments can restore or approximate the original decorative effect of Shandong Xia Hong stone.
Section II: Maintenance Measures for Shandong Shrimp Red Showing Pathology
1. Clean and wipe the surface of the Shandong shrimp red stone, removing any dirt that has penetrated the stone. Afterward, apply rust remover. The rust remover works slowly; areas with heavy rust may require 5 washes to remove. If the timeline is tight, use granite rust remover, which is corrosive to stone types. It must be at least diluted 1:1 before use. Severe rust can be removed in just two applications.
2 Wash Shandong shrimp red stone with clean water, and once the surface is dry, prepare the stone coloring agent. Use the thinner to both lower the concentration of the coloring agent and allow it to penetrate deeper into the stone.
3 Coating coloring agents and protective agents. The coloring agent should be applied evenly. After application, allow to stand for over 2 hours before the surface dries and wipe off the surface excess color. Check for even coloring; if uneven, repeat the coloring process. Once confirmed to be even, apply a glossy stone protective agent, then wipe off the surface excess after 2 hours.
