CNC Face and External Cylindrical Grinder

Primary Application:
The CNC face and external cylindrical grinding machine is a grinding machine with an inclined abrasive wheel carriage that makes an oblique feed cut. The abrasive wheel axis forms a 30° angle with the workpiece axis, mainly used for grinding the end faces and external rounds of shaft parts with shoulders, suitable for workshops engaged in large-scale production. It can also be used as a general external cylindrical grinding machine to grind cylindrical or conical rotating workpieces.
Structural Features:
1. The machine tool features the FANUC Series O-GCD with two CNC coordinate axes and two servo motors, which separately drive the abrasive wheel stand (X-axis) and dresser (W-axis) feed, as well as the abrasive wheel compensation after dressing feed. The control console is located in the right front of the machine tool, equipped with a coordinate value display and operation keys. The machining process parameters such as grinding dimensions, grinding cycles, and conditions are inputted into the memory using this console, allowing for automatic cyclic grinding or manual adjustment.
2. Workpiece size control includes two methods: automatic grinding with a measuring instrument and automatic grinding without one. The automatic measurement device can be custom-ordered to meet customer requirements.
3. The grinding wheel speed is 45 m/s. The main shaft bearing of the grinding wheel uses a long sleeve type static and dynamic pressure bearing for assembly and disassembly.
4. The wheel stand rear is equipped with a profiling dresser. It can automatically adjust the shaping wheel to match the template shape, forming the grinding face and the outer round workpiece.
5. Prior to automatic facing and turning of the outer diameter, the workpiece can automatically make minute axial movements. A tool-setting device ensures that each face is positioned identically.
6. Machining centers, in addition to cutting and grinding, also feature longitudinal grinding. The worktable is driven by a hydraulic cylinder for reciprocating motion, and can also be manually operated by handwheel.
7. Parts, grinding wheels, oil pumps, and cooling pumps are all driven by separate motors. Hydraulic components are housed in an independent oil tank. Feeding transmission parts can be operated either manually or mechanically. The electrical and hydraulic systems are stable and reliable, with easy operation and maintenance of the machine tools.
