I. Overview

The Weiba flow meter utilizes an engineering structure design that fully conforms to aerodynamic principles, making it a sensor element that achieves a high level of precision, efficiency, and reliability.

1. Purpose of the Weiliwa Flowmeter

The Wallem flowmeter is suitable for high-precision flow measurement of gases, liquids, and steam. The Wallem flowmeter is a differential pressure, average velocity flow sensor that measures flow through the differential pressure generated by the sensor in the fluid. The Wallem flowmeter reflects the actual fluid velocity, with an accuracy of ±1.0 and repeatability of ±0.1. The outstanding advantage of Wallem is that it provides a very stable, pulsation-free differential pressure signal.

2. Design Features of the Probe

Bullet-head cross-sectional probe pressure distribution, fixed fluid separation point; low-pressure tapping holes located on the sides of the probe, before the fluid separation point, can generate stable differential pressure signals and effectively prevent clogging. The integrated internal structure prevents signal leakage, enhances the probe's structural strength, and maintains long-term high precision.

3. Wiper Probe Anti-Blocking Design

The Wilo-Bal flow meter's anti-clogging design completely eliminates the drawback of insertion-type flow meters like the ABBU meter, which are prone to clogging, thereby raising the anti-clogging level of orifice plate flow meters to an unprecedented height.

The probe's high-pressure pressure-taking hole will not be blocked. The front of the probe forms a high-pressure zone, with pressure slightly higher than the static pressure in the pipeline, preventing particles from entering. Please note: At the high-pressure pressure-taking hole of the probe, the fluid velocity is zero, and no objects will enter the pressure-taking hole. When the machine is turned on, the fluid enters the bend under the action of the static pressure in the pipeline and quickly reaches a state of pressure equilibrium. Once the pressure equilibrium is established, the fluid encounters high pressure at the entrance of the bend and takes a detour, no longer entering the bend.

The Weilbach flow meter's low-pressure orifice achieves inherent anti-blocking. Generally, dust, sand, and particles concentrate at the back of the probe due to the action of vortical forces, much like why autumn leaves always accumulate behind windward houses. Other probes, due to the low-pressure pressure-taking orifice being located in the vacuum area at the probe's tail, quickly become blocked by impurities carried by the vortices. The unique design of the Weilbach flow meter positions the low-pressure pressure-taking orifice at the side and rear of the probe, in front of the fluid separation point and wake zone. This design fundamentally prevents clogging and generates an extremely stable low-pressure signal.

Importantly, the low-pressure holes are located on the side and rear of the probe, with the fluid gliding over the surface obliquely, safeguarding the low-pressure holes from being disturbed. Other probes are prone to clogging because their low-pressure pressure-taking holes are in the low-pressure fluctuation area where impurities accumulate.

Installation Cost

Only a few inches of line welding is required, making the installation simple and quick.

All valves and instruments interfaces require only simple assembly, with very low assembly costs.

The Whimbley's continuous operation fundamentally eliminates the possibility of clogging, but it still requires attention to prevent clogging in the following situations:

⑴. When the pressure relief pipe leaks, the high-pressure balancing area of the probe is damaged, and smaller particles in the impurities may enter the sampling area.

② When the pipeline is shut down, due to the Brownian motion of molecules, small impurities may enter the pressure-taking hole.

③ Frequent startups and shutdowns of the system may allow fine impurities to enter the pressure-taking holes during the instant in the high-pressure area. Accumulated over time, this could lead to clogging of the probe.

④. High levels of tar, algae, or fibrous materials in the medium may also lead to blockages in the probe.
