At the CBE exhibition, there's a variety of beautiful glass bottle packaging materials. The glass bottle surface of cosmetic bottles is sandblasted by containing a solution and steam, which causes the glass surface to be etched with acid, making it semi-transparent. This process is particularly common in cosmetic glass bottles, and the adhesion of subsequent processing will also be enhanced. However, it's important to note that during the etching process, the fixture must fit the bottle opening, otherwise, light leakage may occur, affecting the appearance. Electroplating on cosmetic bottles utilizes a chemical reaction to form a uniform and dense metal coating on the surface of the glass bottle.
After electroplating, glass bottles present a metallic luster and texture. The process involves applying an undercoat to the glass bottle, electroplating aluminum using an electroplating machine, and then applying the topcoat. The finishes can be categorized into glossy electroplating, matte electroplating, gradient electroplating, and iridescent electroplating. Gold and silver for cosmetic packaging bottles are achieved by heating and attaching gold or silver foil to the packaging surface, providing a strong relief and metallic feel. Besides gold and silver, other colors like iridescent silver, blue gold, and red gold can also be produced. Compared to screen printing, hot stamping and hot silver stamping place more emphasis on the reflection and portrayal of metallic shadows to light, giving the surface a more luxurious and high-quality feel.
