Epoxy zinc-rich primer (double)
1、Product Features:
This paint is made from refined epoxy resin, zinc powder, etc., and is mixed in a two-component ratio with the hardener. It is resistant to solvent corrosion, boasts excellent rustproof properties, provides cathodic protection, can penetrate into welding gaps, and has superior waterproof and rustproof characteristics, with stable weather resistance under sunlight.
2、Instructions for Use:
(1) Application:
This paint is suitable for steel structures such as ships, bridges, containers, and chemical equipment.
(2)Construction Requirements:
Recommended Coating Layers: Airless spray one coat, dry film 50-80um; brushing or rolling requires 2-3 coats.
Post-processing paint accessories: Epoxy iron oxide anti-rust paint, iron red epoxy anti-rust paint, epoxy zinc phosphate anti-rust paint, epoxy aluminum triphosphate anti-rust paint, epoxy asphalt paint, chlorinated rubber anti-rust paint, acrylic polyurethane, etc. types of topcoats.
Surface Treatment: For scaled steel, shot blasting to Sa2.5 grade with surface roughness of 30-75um. Alternatively, use acid pickling to remove all scale and rust, followed by thorough neutralization, water washing, and passivation. For scale-free steel, shot blasting to Sa2.5 grade or grinding with an air or electric flexible abrasive disc to St3 grade.
Coated steel with workshop primer: Perform secondary rust removal on the paint damage areas, rust spots, and white rust on the zinc powder primer, and sand down to St3 grade.
Construction Conditions: Substrate temperature must be above the dew point by more than 3°C. Construction is not recommended when the outdoor temperature is below 0°C, as the reaction between the epoxy and curing agent stops. Relative humidity should not exceed 85%.
3、Cautionary Notes:
Epoxy zinc-rich paint dries and cures faster with increased temperatures. It can be applied between 0-10℃ temperatures, but the curing speed is slow. Adequate ventilation and air exchange are required during the drying and curing process of the epoxy zinc-rich paint.
