Low-resistance, non-metallic graphite grounding modules are a grounding body mainly composed of non-metallic materials. They are made up of non-metallic minerals with good conductivity and stability, along with electrolytic substances. These modules can be used for lightning protection grounding, grounding, AC working grounding, DC working grounding, protective grounding, and other purposes of grounding bodies.
Low-resistance non-metallic graphite grounding module working principle:
Low-resistance non-metallic graphite grounding modules are internally fitted with a metal core, connected to the earth wire of the protected object, allowing the grounding current to be discharged into the earth, thereby achieving a low grounding resistance. The mechanism: it increases the self-dispersal area of the grounding body, reduces the contact resistance between the grounding body and the soil layer, has strong moisture-absorbing capacity, and fully utilizes the conductive function of the module material.
Low-resistance non-metallic graphite grounding module main performance:
1. Utilizes non-metallic conductors as the conductive medium, with conductivity unaffected by seasons.
2. Resistant to high-frequency and impulse current surges, with stable resistance.
3. In areas with high soil resistivity, it can reduce the grounding resistance of the earth grid.
4. Absorbs heat, maintains contact with soil, and has a low ground resistance.
Long lifespan, easy installation.
Low-resistance non-metallic graphite grounding modules primary application range:
1. Power plants, substation, switch stations, high-voltage transmission lines, electrified railways, telecommunications, mobile communication base stations, microwave relay stations, ground satellite receiving stations, and radar stations - working grounding, grounding, and lightning protection grounding.
2. Critical equipment grounding and protective grounding for instruments, computer room equipment, telecommunications programmed equipment, broadcasting and television equipment, and electronic equipment.
3. Lightning protection and grounding for various high-rise buildings, tall structures, famous ancient architecture, and tall memorials.
4. Pipeline for oil transportation and oil-gas storage tanks, lightning protection and grounding for warehouses of hazardous RAN and BAO materials.
Low-resistance non-metallic graphite grounding module installation method:
1. Low-resistance, non-metallic graphite lightning protection grounding module can be vertically or horizontally buried. The burial depth should not be less than 0.6 meters, generally 0.8-1.0 meters.
2. When using several modules in parallel埋置, the spacing between modules should not be less than 4.0 meters. If conditions do not permit, it can be appropriately reduced; at the same time, the utilization coefficient value for calculating the module quantity should also be reduced.
3. When low-resistance non-metallic graphite lightning protection grounding modules are connected in parallel or connected to the ground wire, welding is required. It must be done using the same type of metal material to ensure the integrity of the connection. The welding length should be no less than 100mm, and no bridged or incomplete welds are allowed.
4. Weld slag at the welding joints and apply a layer of asphalt or paint.
5. Backfilling should use fine-grained soil as the filling material and not use construction waste like broken bricks. Backfilling should be done in layers. After filling 30 cm of material, add water appropriately and compact it, then continue filling, adding water, and compacting until level with the ground surface. When compacting, ensure the modules are tightly in contact with the backfill soil and the soil with the strata, without damaging the modules themselves. After backfilling is complete, water the area again to moisten it.
6. After 72 hours of moisture absorption, measure the working frequency ground resistance with a ground resistance tester. If the expected target is not met, analyze the cause and take compensatory measures.
