Product Introduction: The ball mill end cover is one of the key components of the ball mill, featuring a relatively complex structure. It requires a long manufacturing cycle and high precision in processing and assembly. Therefore, its processability should be fully considered when drafting the process route. The end cover is located at both ends of the ball mill cylinder, supported by bearings, primarily used to support the material, cylinder, and medium. The hollow shaft end plate root fillet of the ball mill is a stress concentration area.
Process Flow
1. Simulation, Modeling
Before casting, the ball mill end cover requires digital simulation of the casting process, using numerical simulation technology to analyze the shaping process and predict product quality, thereby optimizing the casting process for the end cover.
2. Casting, Heat Treatment
Qualified raw and auxiliary materials are proportionally added to the electric arc furnace for smelting. To purify the molten steel, the ladle is modified, and argon gas is used for refining the molten steel. A sample of iron is taken for spectral analysis, and after passing the inspection, the "low-temperature rapid casting" principle is adhered to for casting, with the casting time and temperature recorded.
Section 3: Non-destructive Testing, Precision Machining
Further cutting off sprues, runners, and burrs. A specialized polishing team, along with large shot blasting equipment, effectively enhances the appearance quality of the ball mill end cover, achieving the required surface smoothness. Additionally, professional flaw detection equipment is used for non-destructive testing on each end cover to ensure internal quality and strictly prevent any defective products from leaving the factory.
