The working principle of an engineering electric heating blanket involves weaving or sewing the electric heating wire in a serpentine pattern into the insulating material. Once powered, it emits heat and is controlled by a temperature control component. Its basic composition includes the heating layer, outer layer, insulating layer, as well as temperature control and safety components.
Engineering electric heating blankets are primarily used for heating and curing concrete during winter construction.
