KPI acid-resistant mortar is made with potash silicate (potassium silicate) as the binder, also known as Water Glass KPI acid-resistant mortar. It is a silicate acid-resistant and heat-resistant material composed of acid-resistant and heat-resistant powders and aggregates (with a small amount of auxiliary materials, including curing agents mixed into the powder). The product is a two-component system, consisting of a mixture of potash silicate (potassium silicate) and potash silicate mortar (or potash silicate mortar mixture or potash silicate concrete mixture), which can be formulated into acid-resistant and heat-resistant mortar, mortar, or concrete for various applications. The reaction rate of potash silicate with the curing agent exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in water, neutral media, and dilute acids, with significantly better performance than sodium silicate in resisting sulfuric, acetic, and phosphoric acids.
Acid-resistant mortar material, after undergoing biological tests by the health department, has been confirmed as non-toxic before and after reaction. Potassium silicate material can be directly in contact with materials such as cement substrates, brick masonry, steel substrates, and wood.
Product Features:
Excellent acid resistance: Resistant to most inorganic acids, organic acids, acidic salts, and various oxidizing media.
Excellent heat resistance: Suitable for working environments up to 900℃
High bonding strength: excellent bonding with concrete, acid-resistant bricks, granite, and cast stone
The product is in a two-component form: easy to use, long shelf life, and easy to transport; can be processed and cured at room temperature.
