Woodworking dust extraction requires three key components: the pipeline system, the fan system, and the filtration system. Within these systems, the structures and functions vary with different configurations, but the basic principles are the same, much like wearing a mask. The pipeline connects woodworking machinery to the filtration system, while the fan operates to create negative pressure within the pipeline for dust collection. The key factors are the fan configuration and the performance of the filter bags.
The fan configuration is calculated based on the number and arrangement of machines in the production workshop. This requires personnel calculation for configuration to ensure consistent air volume at each machine's filter interface for effective dust removal. The dust removal filter bags should be selected according to different environments, as the nature of dust produced in various woodworking workshops varies.
The air flow containing wood chip particles is transported to the guiding chamber of the bag filter by a fan. The air flow velocity decreases as it flows downward due to the action of the guiding plate. The heavier wood chip particles fall into the ash bin under the force of gravity, while the lighter, finer dust particles are adsorbed on the outer surface of the filter bags with the air flow and rise. After passing through the bag filter, the clean gas enters the exhaust room and is discharged outside. As the filtration process continues, the dust accumulating on the outer surface of the filter bags increases, thereby increasing the system's operating resistance and reducing its dust removal efficiency. To address this, the system is equipped with an automatic pulse cleaning device, which consists of a pulse controller, pulse valve, quick-connection, steam drum, and spray pipe. According to the characteristics of the wood chip particles, the pulse amplitude and frequency can be set on the pulse controller. Once the pulse amplitude and frequency are set, during operation, the system will automatically clean the filter bags, thereby increasing the effective filtration efficiency and extending the service life of the filter bags.
