Vibration and noise of various types can affect the surrounding environment, harm human health, damage buildings, and reduce the accuracy of machinery and equipment, particularly disrupting the use of valuable instruments. Moreover, the vibration itself can damage the machinery, shortening its lifespan. Therefore, isolating vibration using elastic elements and preventing its transmission is an ideal method to eliminate vibration, protect the environment, buildings, and machinery.
Our damper design incorporates the characteristics of steel spring dampers, overcoming the resonance phenomenon that occurs when the damping ratio is low. It can protect the isolation efficiency from decreasing when the damping ratio is increased to 0.15-0.18 (with a higher damping ratio of 0.085). Therefore, our damper, with the low-frequency characteristics of steel spring dampers, provides vibration isolation for both high and low interference frequencies while also having the feature of a higher damping ratio typical of rubber dampers. This allows for the elimination of the resonance phenomenon unique to steel springs, ensuring that there is no excitation (amplitude A=0.01mm) during the transition from start to stop, with a stopping time of 1.6 seconds. After installing the damper, the equipment can quickly pass over the resonance zone during start-up and shutdown without swinging, achieving an isolation efficiency of ≥85%. This damper does not require a large concrete base, can support the total weight of the equipment, and can be installed on the ground, floors, or platforms without the need for anchor bolts, significantly reducing the installation time. It is a simple, speed-appropriate, and economically reasonable multi-functional universal damping spring suspension damper.
Our vibration dampers are equipped with 60Si2Mn spring steel springs, which offer advantages such as fatigue resistance, high strength, great load-bearing capacity, and long service life.
