Fender-type solid fender (fender pad) has an outer sheath made of chains, steel wire ropes, or nylon rope nets, and old tires (or rubber sleeves). The longitudinal breaks of the chains, steel wire ropes, or nylon rope nets are connected to one or two mesh openings of the adjacent sheath with cables or ropes. Old tires or rubber sleeves are attached to the sheath, providing protective coverage for the fender body.

Characteristics of solid fender-type bumpers:

(1) The chain surface has been heat treated, effectively enhancing its resistance to seawater corrosion.

(2) The use of nylon rope makes the installation of the ball easy and the handling convenient.

(3) The tires on the net sleeve create enough space between the fender and the hull, thereby protecting the fender from wear and extending its service life.
