Rubber inflatable fender (fender) utilizes compressed air as a buffer medium, providing a softer collision avoidance effect when vessels dock. Compared to conventional spring-loaded rubber fenders (such as recycled tires, solid rubber fenders, etc.), it offers advantages like greater shock absorption capacity, lower unit area pressure on the vessel, excellent resistance to impact fatigue, and easy installation.
Qingdao Shangshan has been manufacturing ship fender since 2005. Since then, over 10,000 inflatable fenders have been supplied to vessels operating in various fields. They are used for docking between ships or between ships and piers.
Superior Advantages of Shangshan Inflatable Fender:
1. Safe for overloading
Even under heavy-duty use, fenders continuously significantly enhance their performance. Therefore, they are an excellent choice for the protection of vessels in fender mooring systems.
2. No deterioration, failure, or variation in performance
Because the inflatable rubber fender utilizes the compressed elastic properties of air, it does not degrade or fail in performance due to fatigue operation. This fender can maintain its integrity even in low temperatures, down to below 50℃.
3. Safety and Reliability
The Shangshan Inflatable Rubber Fender utilizes a reinforced plied structure, making it highly resistant to pressure and abrasion. Fenders with a diameter of 2.5 meters or more are equipped with a pressure relief valve to prevent accidents due to excessive pressure.
4. Construction
The fender ball is composed of an inner rubber layer, an outer rubber layer, and a reinforcing layer of yarn. All layers are vulcanized into shape together.
Fender interior and ends:

1. Outer rubber
The rubber layer covering the fender is designed to protect the skeletal material and inner rubber lining from external damage or wear. It ensures the fender remains unaffected under any severe weather conditions. The design and manufacture of the outer rubber compound are capable of withstanding intense use, including in harsh working environments, while also providing protection to the fabric layer and internal rubber lining.
2. curtain fabric layer
Nylon 6 "cable yarn" serves as the strong layer for the fender structure. High-strength nylon cable yarn used in tire manufacturing is employed, with 90 (±1.5) strands of nylon cable yarn per 10 cm. Our company uses a well-planned overall wrapping method to enhance the shrinkage rate under stress in all parts of the fender. By designing the spherical layout, the vulcanized nylon yarn coated with adhesive can evenly distribute the load force on the sphere, with the internal rubber layer being completely sealed.
3. Inner rubber lining
The rubber layer inside the fender wall is used to prevent gas leakage and maintain the fender air pressure. Our company uses rubber with greater elasticity, adhesion, and airtightness.
4. End Flange
Metal components placed on the sides of the fender, suitable for hoisting and charging/decompressing.
Note:
1. The iron components of the product (including chains, flanges, shackles, swivels, etc.) are all made of Q235 and above grade materials, with a hot-dipped galvanized anti-rust coating applied to the surface.
2. Utilize large-sized components for robust and powerful protection.
3. Stainless steel chains, shackles, and swivels can be equipped according to customer requirements.
Application Range and Performance Features:
1) Dock, port, ship fender
2) Suitable for gravity and dry dock, especially for docks with large tidal differences.
3) Particularly suitable for side-by-side ship-to-ship fendering, with greater adaptability for floating fenders.
4) Serve as fender for pier abutment, protecting the pier and vessels from damage.
5) Essential spare parts for dock protection equipment, featuring flexible emergency functions.
6) Suitable for naval special ships' berthing, ensuring berthing safety.
7) Using extra-large floating fender can increase the berthing depth of the vessel, achieving the purpose of码头升级.
8) Can be used independently or integrated with other protective devices to form a protective system, ensuring the safety of bridge piers and vessels.
