Steps and methods for using梅花 couplings:
Before installing the butterfly coupling, check if the two shafts of the prime mover and the working unit are concentric, if the shaft surfaces have packaging paper or dents, if there is dust in the inner holes of the two half couplings of the butterfly coupling, if the edges of the inner holes have dents, or if the diameter and length of the inner holes of the two half couplings match the diameter and shaft extension dimensions of the prime mover and working unit. Generally, when selecting a type, the length of the half coupling at the end of the prime mover and the working unit should be less than 10-30mm shorter than the shaft extension.
2. To facilitate installation, it is recommended to preheat 2 half couplings in a 120-150 degree heat-insulating box or oil pan. This increases the size of the inner bore, making installation easier. After installation, avoid letting the shaft end protrude beyond the face of the half coupling; keep it flush. Measure the distance between the two couplings: take the average reading from 3-4 points along the inner sides of the flanges of both couplings. This sum, along with the actual dimensions of the extension and both diaphragm sets, should have an error within the range of 0-0.4mm. For alignment measurement, the face of the flange and the outer diameter跳动 should be within 0.05mm when the flange outer diameter is less than 250mm; and less than 0.08mm when the flange outer diameter is greater than 250mm.
3. Bolt Installation: Pass the bolt through the outer side of the flange small hole, then through the buffer sleeve, elastic washer, and nut from the outer side of the other flange large hole. Secure the nut with a wrench. Poor installation won't damage the shaft or half-connection even if it's removed and replaced. Avoid applying force with free rotation after installation.
4. Operators' Attention: Before starting the equipment, please check if the nuts on the ball joint coupling are loose or fallen off. If necessary, tighten the nuts securely with a wrench. The梅花 connectors come in basic type, single flange connection, double flange connection, and wheel-type with brakes. The main process involves initial turning, followed by nail polish cleaning, insertion of inserts, and then surface treatment, usually blackening.
