ROHS ID - Difference between EU ROHS

However, due to significant differences in requirements for product labels, usage of packaging markings, demand for recyclable materials, and whether mandatory certification is enforced, European exporting companies are facing the dual challenge of two RoHS directives.
EU's "Self-Declaration" vs. "Mandatory Certification"
The EU RoHS directive adheres to the principle of "self-declaration" by enterprises. The directive does not require specific measurements or mandatory certification or labeling. Producers only need to undergo self-certification, indicating compliance with the market surveillance of EU member states, and declare that their products do not contain restricted-use hazardous substances to gain access.
