A crane at the wharf is a common lifting equipment used for handling cargo or bulk goods at ports, docks, warehouses, stacks, or within industrial areas, also known as a wharf crane. The equipment is primarily composed of the power unit and the support structure. We have already discussed the structure of the power unit, so now let's introduce the structure of the support part.

The crane pedestal is composed of a main column consisting of screw rods, jack nuts, and uprights, along with a rotating arm. The rotating arm can rotate 360 degrees on the main column, equipped with a limit switch at the end to prevent overhoisting accidents due to operation errors or button malfunctions. The operation button starter allows for reversing the motor's direction, which can wind or unwind the steel wire rope, lift or lower objects through the pulley system of the pedestal, and complete the hoisting operation.
