
Operating Principle:
The Gland Ring is composed of a rubber O-ring and a Teflon ring. The O-ring applies force, and the Gland Ring serves as a double-acting piston seal. It generates a high initial contact stress on the sealing surface due to its own deformation, preventing the leakage of pressureless fluids. During the operation of the hydraulic cylinder, the pressure fluid passes through the elastic deformation of the O-shaped seal, greatly squeezing the square seal ring, causing it to tightly adhere to the sealing surface. This results in an additional contact stress that increases with the pressure of the pressure fluid, working in conjunction with the initial contact stress to prevent the leakage of pressure fluids.
Application Range:
Hydraulic reciprocating motion environment. Properly used, it excels in piston rod sealing applications under high, medium, low pressure, heavy loads, and high-frequency conditions. The PSI type is particularly suitable for long stroke applications and can accommodate larger piston rod clearances in a wide range of fluids and high-temperature environments. For example, it is used in bulldozers, excavators, forging presses, ceramic brick presses, rolling mills, servo valves, and other machine tools.
