Performance and Application
Axial T-type gland PRTs are generally used in hydraulic reciprocating motion environments. Proper use ensures excellent performance in piston rod sealing applications under high, medium, and low pressure, as well as heavy loads and high-frequency conditions. T-type glands are particularly suitable for long stroke applications and can accommodate larger piston rod clearances in a wide range of fluids and high-temperature environments. For example, they are widely used in equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, forging presses, ceramic brick presses, rolling mills, servo valves, and other machine tools. The special T-type gland R-section shape, with its side angle, allows for an additional degree of freedom, enabling the sealing element to tilt slightly. This allows the highest pressure point to be moved to the opposite side of the high-pressure side sealing edge, creating a middle deformation zone with no compression or shear load on the low-pressure side of the sealing element, thereby effectively reducing the risk of the seal being extruded.
Features:
Excellent static and dynamic sealing performance
2. Allowable larger extrusion gaps, depending on the application, thus reducing processing costs.
3. Due to the larger extrusion gap, it can be safely used in media with impurities.
4. Low friction, no creeping.
5. Simple grooves, suitable for integral pistons
6. Due to the versatility of various material options, strong adaptability to working conditions
7. Safe hydraulic oil (bio-oil) suitable for new environments
