The KT579IIC-A4 utilizes 11N technology with a 2x2 single transmit/receive wireless architecture, supporting air data rates up to 300Mbps and actual data rates exceeding 95Mbps. It supports fat/thin AP modes, can operate independently, or be centrally managed via an intelligent wireless access controller. It provides wireless internet access on both ground and underground levels, supports terminal location functionality (supports coverage+probe or full-frequency probe), and transmits the signal strength of detected Wi-Fi terminals in the vicinity to the position server (Position Server).

The explosion-proof grade of the KT579IIC-A4 wireless base station is Ex db IIC T6 Gb/Ex tb IIIC T80℃ Db, suitable for hazardous areas in Zones 1, 2, or Zones 20, 21. It is applicable to environments with hazardous gases or combustible dusts classified as IIA, IIB, IIC, with temperature groups T1-T6. Specific installation locations include underground tunnels, mines, oilfield extraction, refining, aerospace, chemical industry, and offshore oil platforms, among other environments with flammable and explosive gases, as well as metal processing facilities with combustible dust.
