2. When manual drainage is being performed, valves ①-④ are all closed. Wear a gas mask or face away from the wind, open valve ⑤ until water is nearly drained, then immediately close valve ⑤. Simultaneously, open valves ① and ③.

3. When operating normally with the pipeline, only valves ① and ③ are opened, with the rest remaining closed.

4. When conducting maintenance or blowing down, close valves ①, ②-⑤, and connect steam or nitrogen for displacement from valve ②.
