Product Description
An open mixing mill, also known as a kneader, is primarily used for the mixing of rubber and plastics. It is a machine equipped with a pair of rotors with specific shapes that rotate relative to each other, and it intermittently塑炼和混炼polymer materials in a sealed state at adjustable temperatures and pressures. It is mainly composed of the kneading chamber, rotors, rotor sealing devices, feeding and pressing units, discharging equipment, transmission system, and base.
Operating Principle
During the operation of the extruder, the two rotors rotate relative to each other, gripping the material between the rolls where it is subjected to compression and shearing by the rotors. The material is subjected to shearing and friction, which increases the temperature and decreases the viscosity of the rubber, enhancing its wetting properties on the surface of the additives. This allows for thorough contact between the rubber and the additive surface. The convex ridges on the rotors facilitate axial movement of the rubber, acting as a mixing tool. This ensures the additives are evenly mixed within the rubber. The continuous stirring and shearing action of the ridges achieves a certain degree of dispersion in the rubber.
