Shell and Tube Evaporator Structural Features:
The shell and tube evaporator has a structure similar to that of a shell and tube condenser, the difference being that the refrigerant flows inside the tubes while the coolant flows inside the shell. Our evaporators are manufactured using precision lathes (CNC and copper tube thread machines) and are made with high-quality, well-known brand, purple copper tube materials. They are highly efficient and energy-saving with a compact appearance.
Shell-and-tube condensers and evaporators, regardless of type, share the same primary manufacturing processes and materials. They are both constructed using a large steel cylinder, inside of which unequal numbers (as per specifications) of low-fin copper tubes are welded in place to form two separate channels. Over time, due to material fatigue or inherent quality issues, some low-fin copper tubes may crack and leak; also, the welding between the low-fin copper tubes and the筒 body tube plates can crack or develop slag inclusions due to material fatigue or welding quality issues, leading to leaks.
