Halogen-free, low-smoke, flame-retardant cables are environmentally friendly cables made from rubber that does not contain halogens (F, Cl, Br, I, At) or environmental substances like lead, cadmium, chromium, and mercury. These cables do not emit toxic smoke (such as hydrogen halides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc.) when burned.
The halogen index is: the value of all halogens ≤ 50PPM (as per regulation PREN 14582), the content of halogenated gases produced after combustion < 100PPM (as per regulation EN5067-2-1). The pH value of the halogenated gases dissolved in water after combustion ≥ 4.3 (weakly acidic) (as per regulation EN-50267-2-2). The product allows ≥ 60% light transmission through a beam of light after combustion in a sealed container (as per regulation EN-50268-2). Pb < 90PPM, Cd, Cr6+, Hg, PBBs, PBDEs all < 5PPM.
This product boasts excellent flame-retardant properties. During combustion, it emits very little smoke and no corrosive gases. It is widely used in nuclear power plants, subway stations, telephone exchanges, computer control centers, high-rise buildings, hotels, broadcasting and television stations, oil platforms, and other locations with high population density and low air density.
