During normal extinguishing, trace amounts of nitrogen oxides are generated, which not only cause corrosion to the cylinders but also pass through the three piston rings (top, middle, and bottom) into the engine, causing metal corrosion to the main engine components, such as camshafts, which cannot be eliminated solely by using lubricating oil. 2.
