Characteristics of ULTRAM UF5011S PEI: PEI has high compressive strength, high bending strain, wear resistance, and model specification efficiency at high temperatures. PEI is a light brown fully transparent solid that no longer requires the addition of any preservatives to achieve its original flame retardant rating and low smoke halogen-free cable degree. The flame retardant rating is 47% and the ignition rating is UL94-V-0. The relative density of PEI is 1.28-1.42g/cm3, the coefficient of thermal expansion is 215 ℃, and the thermal deformation temperature is 198-208 ℃. It can be used for a long time at 160-180 ℃, and the allowable intermittent application temperature is 200 ℃. PEI has high-quality impact toughness, cable sheath characteristics, radiation hazard resistance, high and low temperature resistance, fatigue resistance, and formability indicators; Adding fiberglass, carbon fiber materials or other fillers can ensure the improvement of the modified rubber products. Main characteristics of PEI:

ULTRAM UF5011S PEI is an amber transparent solid with inherent flame retardancy and low smoke without the addition of any additives. It has an oxygen index of 47%, a combustion rating of UL94-V-0, and a density of 1.28-1.42g/cm3. PEI has strong high-temperature stability, and even non reinforced PEI still has good toughness and strength. Therefore, the superior thermal stability of PEI can be used to produce high-temperature heat-resistant devices. It has excellent mechanical properties, electrical insulation properties, radiation resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and wear resistance, and can transmit microwaves. PEI has good flame retardancy, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation properties. The glass transition temperature is very high, reaching 215 ℃. And PEI has a very low shrinkage rate and good isotropic mechanical properties. Adding glass fiber, carbon fiber or other fillers can achieve the purpose of reinforcement and modification; It can also be combined with other engineering plastics to form heat-resistant polymer alloys, which can be used for a long time at a working temperature of -160~180 ℃.



Injection mold process conditions:
Drying treatment: PEI has hygroscopic properties and can cause material degradation. The humidity value should be less than 0.02%. Suggested drying conditions are 150 ℃ and 4-hour drying treatment.
Melting temperature: 340~400 ℃ for ordinary materials; The reinforcement type material is 340~415 ℃.
Mold temperature: 107~175 ℃, recommended mold temperature is 140 ℃.
Injection pressure: 700~1500 bar.
Injection speed: Use the highest possible injection speed.
Machine selection;
PEI resin can be injected on most standard injection molding machines. Suggest using a reciprocating screw injection molding machine.

ULTRAM UF5011S PEI Application: Replacing metal manufacturing of fiber optic connectors can optimize component structure, simplify manufacturing and assembly steps, and maintain more accurate dimensions. Used in the automotive field, such as manufacturing high-temperature connectors, producing high-power car lights and indicator lights, sensors for controlling the external temperature of car cabins, and sensors for controlling air and fuel. It can also be used as a high-temperature resistant lubrication erosion resistant vacuum pump impeller, a ground glass joint (socket) for distillers operating at 180 ℃, and a reflector for non illuminated anti fog lamps.


The long-term use temperature of polyether resin is 338T and 356T (depending on the grade), and the combustion grade reaches UL94V-0 (10 mil thickness) according to the regulations of the American Insurance Company Laboratory. )The oxygen index reaches 47, and the polyetherimide meets the FAA material standards for flame retardancy and heat release properties required for aircraft interiors. Its glass transition temperature is 419F and allows for intermittent use at 392F, resulting in short-term shifts at higher temperatures. At 356T, the tensile temperature and flexural modulus are above 41 and 2068MPa, respectively. Materials reinforced with fiberglass and carbon fiber exhibit higher strength and stiffness near the glass transition temperature.
