GRDE safety edge is a flexible and bendable strip that can be fixed on the edges of moving parts such as machine workbenches and electric doors that pose risks of compression and shearing. When moving parts equipped with safety edges or safety buffers collide with the operator (or the operator collides with the moving parts), these flexible safety edges will be compressed and a signal will be transmitted to the power source to stop the movement of these parts. Introduction to Safe Edge Connection

▪ Safe edge contact is applicable to machines where the moving parts can immediately stop after the power is removed.  

▪ The safety edge and controller together form a flexible and universal emergency stop system, and the machine operator or installer must be able to easily and conveniently stop the dragging device when using this system.  

▪ A complete safety edge includes an aluminum rail; Safety contact points and safety contact straps. The special shape of the safety edge (rubber side) can protect the safety contact belt from damage and allow the impact angle of the safety edge to exceed 90 degrees.  

▪ The safety contact is a foam rubber accessory covered with polyurethane, which is used to protect other objects in contact with it

▪ The safety edge is generally installed at the edge of the machine equipment. When it is squeezed by the human body or other objects, it will output a switch signal. It is usually used on machines whose moving parts can stop immediately after the power is removed. Its structure consists of an aluminum alloy bracket, a rubber buffer belt, a signal sensing element, and an electric controller. Rubber buffer tape is soft in nature and has a special shape, allowing the safety edge to exceed 90 degrees.
