Rock wool board, also known as thermal insulation and decorative rock wool board, is an inorganic fiber board made by melting and processing basalt at high temperatures. It was successfully tested in June 1981. Rock wool board is a new type of thermal insulation, fire-retardant, and sound-absorbing material.
Rockwool boards are artificially inorganic fibers processed through high-temperature melting, featuring lightweight, low thermal conductivity, heat absorption, and non-flammability. Initially developed, they are commonly used in building applications, particularly in industrial buildings, and should comply with the provisions of "Application Types and Basic Requirements for Building Insulation Materials." 。
