Seamless steel tubes are pipes made from a solid piece of metal without any seams on the surface. According to the production method, seamless tubes are categorized into hot-rolled, cold-rolled, cold drawn, extruded, and jacking pipes, among others. Based on cross-sectional shape, they are divided into round and non-round types, with non-round shapes including square, elliptical, triangular, hexagonal, melon-shaped, star-shaped, and winged pipes, among various complex forms. The diameters range from 0.3mm to 650mm. Depending on the application, they are classified as thick-walled and thin-walled tubes. Seamless steel tubes are primarily used for oil and gas geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemical use, boiler tubes, bearing tubes, and high-precision structural steel tubes for automotive, tractor, and aviation applications.
