PA6T, also known as poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide), is a thermally resistant nylon 6T/66 developed by Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., a Japanese company. It is a copolymer of PA6T and PA66.
Excellent reflow solderability of PA6T, with a high melting point (310℃) and high thermal deformation temperature (about 290℃), exhibits superior reflow solderability. Its excellent reflow solderability makes PA6T particularly suitable for electronic connectors used in surface mount technology (SMT).

PA6T Applications: PA6T is widely used in components of the engine window and lubrication system, such as intake modules, engine covers, oil pans, filter boxes, valve caps, cylinder head covers, camshaft timing gears, chain guides, gear belt guards, and more. PA6T stands out due to its excellent mechanical strength, hardness, and thermal stability. Additionally, this material maintains high toughness at low temperatures, good electrical insulation properties, outstanding sliding friction properties, strong mechanical strength, and broad flame-retardant capabilities. PA6T Performance: PA6T boasts a high melting point (310℃) and a high heat deflection temperature (about 290℃), thus exhibiting excellent weldability. This superior weldability makes PA6T particularly suitable for electronic connectors used in surface mounting technology (SMT). With excellent high-temperature rigidity, PA6T maintains a relatively high modulus at high temperatures, such as a modulus of 55% at 120℃ compared to 23℃. In other words, PA6T maintains stable and excellent rigidity across a wide temperature range.
