Ammonia nitrogen removal agents are a general term for biological agents specifically used in wastewater treatment to remove ammonia nitrogen from waste water. These agents are characterized by their rapid reaction speed, wide adaptability, and the fact that they do not require changes to the treatment process. Simply by adding a set of wastewater biological treatment processes, ammonia nitrogen removal agents can be utilized. They are particularly suitable for wastewater with medium and low concentrations of ammonia nitrogen.
Main Component of Nitrogen Remover
——Chlorine-based strong oxidizing agents and inorganic compounds are the main components of ammonia nitrogen removal agents.
Ammonia Nitrogen Removal Chemical Applications
Ammonium nitrogen remover is primarily used for the treatment of industrial wastewater with excessive ammonium nitrogen in various processes such as electroplating, printed circuit boards, dyeing, leather, food processing, and other medium to low concentration industrial wastewater.
Ammonia Nitrogen Removal Agent Usage Instructions:
1. Prior to normal use, a small-scale trial experiment can be conducted in the lab as follows:
2. Take a certain amount of wastewater to be treated, such as 500ml or 1L (which can be water from a sedimentation pond).
3. Measure a certain amount of ammonia nitrogen remover (such as 300PPM/400PPM/500PPM, etc.) and add it to the wastewater to be treated.
Mix for about 6 minutes to allow the medicine to fully react.
5. Measure the residual ammonia nitrogen content in water.
Ammonia nitrogen removers are mainly divided into two categories: one is a chemical agent, and the other is a microbial agent.
Chemical Agents:
By adding chemicals, a chemical reaction occurs in the ammonia nitrogen of the wastewater. There are many such methods with different principles, such as sodium phosphate and magnesium chloride being conventional precipitation methods, MT-501 being a catalytic oxidation method, and belonging to the breakpoint chlorination method. However, the purpose in all cases is to reduce the ammonia nitrogen in the wastewater. This method is known as the physical-chemical method.
Microbial Agent
Microbial agents clean by adding artificially domesticated microorganisms specifically designed to decompose ammonia nitrogen. This method is known as the microbial method.
