1. Direct Marking: The inductance value of the inductor winding is directly marked on the outer shell of the inductor with numbers and text, including the main parameters such as allowable error and high working current.
2. Color Coding: The inductance value is represented by color bands, with units in mH. The first two bands represent the significant digits, the third band represents the multiplier, and the fourth band indicates the tolerance.

1. Vertical Sealed Fixed Inductors - These vertical sealed fixed inductors feature co-linear pins, with domestic inductance ranging from 0.1 to 2200μH (marked on the housing). They are power inductors with a rated operating current of 0.05 to 1.6A. The inductance production line has an error range of ±5% to ±10%. Imported inductors have a wider inductance and current range, with smaller errors. Imported TDK series color-coded inductors have their inductance marked on the surface with color dots. 2. Horizontal Sealed Fixed Inductors - These horizontal sealed fixed inductors use axial pins, with domestic series including LG1, LGA, and LGX.
5. Clamp each end of the inductor with the two clips, read and record the inductance value. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 using the automatic winding machine for inductors, and record the measured values. Aim for 5-8 data points. 7. Compare the measured values: if the differences are not significant (0.2μH), take the average; remember the theoretical inductance value. If the differences are too large (0.3μH), repeat steps 2-6 until the theoretical inductance value is achieved. As different instruments may measure slightly different inductance parameters. Therefore, familiarize yourself with the measurement instrument to be used before taking measurements, understand the specific functions of the instrument, and then operate according to the instrument's instructions.
