HDPE geomembrane is made from high molecular weight polyethylene primary resin, primarily composed of high-density polyethylene, along with carbon black, anti-aging agents, antioxidants, UV absorbers, and stabilizers. It is produced using the latest fully automated geomembrane manufacturing equipment through triple co-extrusion technology. Laying of HDPE Geomembranes:
Prior to laying the HDPE geomembrane, a qualified acceptance certificate from the civil engineering project should be provided.
2. Before cutting the HDPE film, accurately measure its dimensions, then cut according to the actual size. Generally, it's not advisable to cut according to the depicted dimensions. Each piece should be numbered individually and the details recorded in a table.
When laying HDPE geomembranes, it is best to minimize the number of seams, striving to save raw materials while ensuring quality, and it also facilitates quality assurance.
4. The overlap width between membranes is generally not less than 10 cm, usually making the welding seam alignment parallel to the steeper slope, i.e., arranged in the direction of the slope.
5. Generally, at corners and irregular sections, the seam length should be kept as short as possible. Unless otherwise specified, no welds should be placed within 1.5 meters of the crest or stress concentration areas on slopes with a gradient greater than 1:6.
6. During the laying of HDPE geomembrane, avoid creating artificial creases. When the temperature is low, try to tighten and flatten it as much as possible.
7. After the HDPE geomembrane is laid, minimize walking and moving tools on the membrane surface. Any item that could harm the HDPE membrane should not be placed on or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage.
