Suction dredge vessels, like all mechanical equipment, require regular maintenance during use. Maintenance not only extends the lifespan of the equipment and boosts revenue but also prevents certain malfunctions and saves costs. Below, Qingzhou Yongsheng Environmental Cleaning Equipment Co., Ltd. will discuss how to properly maintain a suction dredge vessel:
During use, regularly inspect all screws and frequently lubricate and maintain them, especially the hopper screws, chain pins, bolts connecting the four corner wheels on the water to the reducer disk, and ensure they are securely fastened. Regularly apply grease and lubricating oil to the large wheel and bearing areas. During flood season or when halted, tie the boat securely to prevent it from being swept away or incurring unnecessary losses.
Prior to startup, inspect the entire mechanical transmission system and machinery lubricants. Then, start the diesel engine of the tail conveyor belt, shift the transmission to neutral, start the diesel engine, and adjust the speed to normal. Next, start the diesel engine at the middle of the equipment that drives the bucket chain.
