One, driveshaft-powered
This is a more traditional operation method for cutter suction dredgers. The motor rotates and is connected to the drive shaft via a reducer, which then rotates the drive shaft at a certain speed. The drive shaft's rotation is then used to rotate the cutter,搅动the riverbed sediment, causing the sediment to move, and enabling the next step of the work. This is what we usually refer to as mechanical transmission.
Hydraulic Motor Drive
The other operating mode of the cutter head on a cutter suction dredger is driven by a hydraulic motor, commonly referred to as the equipment working under the power of the hydraulic system. The hydraulic motor converts the energy transmitted by the hydraulic system into the required rotational speed and torque for the cutter, enabling rotation. This method allows the cutter suction dredger to搅动riverbed sand more agilely and conveniently.
